Healthwatch Leicester and Leicestershire is the consumer champion for health and social care for adults, children and young people. Our role is to enable people to feedback their views and experiences of the health and social care services they receive and for their input to influence how services are planned and delivered in the future.
We have a simple ambition, to make health and social care services better for the people who use them in Leicester and Leicestershire. We are here to understand the needs, experience and concerns of people who use services and speak out on their behalf.

Job Title: Community Outreach Leads

Salary Range: £18,000 - £22,500 dependent upon experience
Work Pattern: Full Time – 37 hours per week worked over 5 days
We are looking to appoint two passionate and committed Community Outreach Leads, who will work to engage with the diverse communities across our City and County. Through this you will support Healthwatch to truly represent the patient and the public voice.
We wish to appoint highly performing Community Outreach Leads, who will enhance our Engagement Team and annual plan of community outreach activities. The successful candidates will be required to engage with individuals, voluntary groups and organisations to enable people to share their views, concerns and suggestions about health and social care services and ensure their views are properly represented to commissioners and providers of health and social care services. The Community Outreach Leads will also be responsible for securing the involvement of all groups within all communities in the planning and delivery of health and social care services in both the City and County together with promoting volunteer activities and supporting the recruitment of Healthwatch members and champions.
We are happy to consider a part-time working pattern for the right candidate however a minimum of 22.5hrs (0.6-F.T.E) would be required.
Healthwatch Leicester & Leicestershire is the independent champion for local people’s voices in health and social care across the City and County. Since 1st April 2018 this service has been delivered by Engaging Communities Staffordshire CIC (ECS), a Community Interest Company that also delivers six other Healthwatch contracts.
