Engaging Communities (ECS) is an innovative Community Interest Company that delivers social and market research, consumer insight analysis and evaluation. Our long-term vision is to ensure that ECS becomes a market leader for consumer insight analysis and community engagement across a range of public services across the country.
We are looking for a Senior Analyst to project manage and act as a senior officer within the organisation for consultation, engagement and research contracts associated with Health and Social Care services across a varied range of client/demographic groups including hidden groups, seldom heard communities and prisoners, ensuring that high quality, added value evidence and insight is delivered to clients commissioning our services and that our data capture systems are robust and innovative.
The Senior Analyst will manage and deliver a wide range of projects using a variety of engagement, research and analysis methods and tools. They will design and develop appropriate high-quality analytical outputs and reports that meet client needs, ensuring that appropriate risk assessment, security, data protection and safeguarding processes are in place. The post holder will undertake focus groups with patients / service users to seek their views on access and quality of the healthcare / social care they receive.
The Senior Analyst will project manage complex engagement/research projects in residential/supported living / custodial settings, conducting patient engagement/research sessions, responding to and delivering ad hoc engagement/research activities where an urgent need is identified in and around Leicester and Leicestershire and in the wider ECS footprint. They will also provide support to facilitate patient engagement in tender submissions.
The Senior Analyst will have extensive experience of research or analysis work with a good working knowledge of a range of insight tools and techniques, including qualitative and quantitative and the ability to analyse and interpret complex data and information. They will be able to demonstrate experience of project managing research projects and delivering high-quality insight with knowledge and experience of undertaking research and engagement in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 and EU GDPR.
The post holder will have extensive experience of undertaking engagement with a varied range of client/demographic groups including hidden groups, seldom heard communities and prisoners, including the delivery of focus groups, facilitated discussions and questionnaires backed up with experience and competence in conducting primary research including surveys, focus groups and one to one interviews. They will have excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills with the ability to produce well-presented research reports and verbally present them to clients as well as managing and developing external relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Ideally, the candidate will have an understanding of business development, including competing for and tendering for work opportunities, be educated to degree/masters level and a member of the Market Research Society.
The post will be based in the Healthwatch Leicester and Leicestershire office in Humberston Gate with the ability to travel within Leicester and Leicestershire as well as the wider ECS footprint.
The salary is up to £30,000 per year based on skills and experience.

Great opportunity to join the Healthwatch Leicester & Leicestershire Team to deliver outreach and engagement to people within the City and County with an emphasis across the north of the County.
The successful candidate will be required to engage with individuals, voluntary groups and organisations to enable people to share their views, concerns and suggestions about health and social care services and ensure their views are properly represented to commissioners and providers of health and social care services.
The Community Outreach Lead will also be responsible for securing the involvement of all groups within all communities in the planning and delivery of health and social care services in both the City and County together with promoting volunteer activities and supporting the recruitment of Healthwatch volunteers and encouraging people to receive updates from us about health and social care issues, especially by social media.
We aim to ensure that organisations work better together. We do this by putting local communities at the heart of making decisions about their care and by providing real insight and engagement solutions to our partners, and by giving the local community a very real and powerful voice to make change where needed.
Healthwatch Leicester & Leicestershire is the champion for local people’s voices in health and social care across the City and County. From 1 April 2018 this service is delivered by Engaging Communities Solutions CIC (ECS), a Community Interest Company that also delivers 8 other Healthwatch contracts.
Experience: Experience of seeking out, building, supporting and maintaining networks of groups, organisations, and individuals with shared interests, and gathering feedback and intelligence Education:
