NHS 111 update

Think you need to go to A&E? Call NHS 111 first

From December 1 2020, you will be able to book a slot at your local A&E by phoning NHS 111. The COVID-19 pandemic has meant crowded waiting rooms are putting patients and hospital staff at risk, so NHS 111 First is being introduced to help patients who have urgent, but not life threatening health problems.

You can contact NHS 111 either online or by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The service is free to use, including from a mobile phone.
