Job Title: Community Outreach Lead
Job Type: Full-time temporary up to Sep 2020 (this may end earlier)
Salary: £18,000.00 year
Great opportunity to join the Healthwatch Leicester & Leicestershire Team to deliver outreach and engagement to people within the City and County with emphasis across the north of the County.
The successful candidate will be required to engage with individuals, voluntary groups and organisations to enable people to share their views, concerns and suggestions about health and social care services and ensure their views are properly represented to commissioners and providers of health and social care services.
The Community Outreach Lead will also be responsible for securing the involvement of all groups within all communities in the planning and delivery of health and social care services in both the City and County together with promoting volunteer activities and supporting the recruitment of Healthwatch volunteers and encouraging people to receive updates from us about health and social care issues, especially by social media.

We do this by putting local communities at the heart of making decisions about their care and by providing real insight and engagement solutions to our partners, and by giving the local community a very real and powerful voice to make change where needed.
Healthwatch Leicester & Leicestershire is the champion for local people’s voices in health and social care across the City and County. From 1 April 2018, this service is delivered by Engaging Communities Solutions CIC (ECS), a Community Interest Company that also delivers 8 other Healthwatch contracts.
Experience of seeking out, building, supporting and maintaining networks of groups, organisations, and individuals with shared interests, and gathering feedback and intelligence Education:
Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver talks and presentations to a wide range of audiences
Educated to A level standard or Equivalent Vocational Qualifications or minimum of two years relevant experience in similar environment paid or voluntary Location:
Because of the nature and location of the role, applicants must live within the area; have a full driver’s licence and have access to their own transport.
