beginning of September and is has taken many weeks for the dr to make appointments and book investigations. He phoned 3 weeks ago to ask for pain medication as he is unable to sleep or eat properly. The dr offered to look at pain medication he could have but never prescribed anything. He rang back last week and the admin team noted his call but did not pass a message onto the GP. He rang again today and yesterday but no GP was available for him to speak to. The receptionist was unhelpful and asked my Dad if he is a private patient (have you given £2000 to the Dr) as if you are private the GP will call you back. If you are NHS you’ll just have to try again tomorrow. SHOCKING!!
the same day as you may be ‘no 48’ in the queue at 8.01 am. By the time you get through after 39 minutes all the appointments for the day are gone! Phoned for a blood test appointment last week and the earliest was 7 August. Dropped off a repeat prescription for my elderly mother last Friday, still not arrived.
Called the surgery today got directed to out of hours service as doctors on training. A medical centre with over 10,000 patients registered and no doctor or reception on duty. What is going on here? Worse than a 3rd world country. Annoying listening to ‘ I’m sorry and our apologies’
